Fiona Nicholson
A multi-disciplinary artist based in Northern Ireland
Fiona Nicholson (b. 1998) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, performance, and lens based media. A concern for sustainability underpins her practice which centres on making work in dialogue with the natural world - both in terms of the conceptual ideas behind the work and the materials she chooses. Endeavouring to use found and repurposed or natural and sustainable materials, Nicholson explores ways of making which are as ecologically conscious as possible. While much of the work is made in response to environmental and societal concerns, it also speaks to hope, life, and the simple joy of being.
